A big snowstorm hit the Alps over the last few days bringing between 50-100 cm's of snow. Temperatures are cold (around -13 at 2952m and -5 at resort level 1450m). There has been some good snowfalls at Altitude in the Alps including in the 3 Valleys.  The image shows the Sommet de Tougnette in Meribel at an altitude of 2,434 metres. [Click for more]

The replacement Côte Brune lift will open in December at the top of the Méribel Valley. The old 4 seater chairlift was one of the longest (and often the coldest) lifts in the 3 Valleys and has been replaced by a gondola lift. The Rhodos I and II gondolas are being completel[Click for more]
