Car Hire

There is plenty of choice when it comes to car hire from the major ski airports. The best option is to use a broker like Holiday Autos as they search the major hire companies and offer the best deals.

Optional extras such as sat nav, child seats or booster seats can also be requested. These are paid for directly to the car hire company when you pick it up.

Due to new legislation the DVLA have made some changes where the paper licence is no longer valid. This means that you need to log onto the DVLA website and put in your driving licence details to get a special code that you give the hire company. This is then handed over to the car hire company who can then access the drivers full licence details and penalties. However, be aware that it only lasts for 72 hours so if you are flying into Europe and not hiring your car straight away then you may need a new up to date code.

We would recommend brining your paper licence with you anyway as a back up until the new system is properly in place.
