New for Meribel this year

Meribel has had a busy summer making lots of improvements for the start of the season in December. 

There is now better guaranteed skiing with the expansion of the Altiport reservoir. There are 788 snow cannons with 54% of the ski area equipped with snow making. The ongoing work to improve the production plant ensures that Meribel can forecast the changing weather and ensure that the slopes are in tip top condition. 

For children there is a larger Yeti Park and a new Inuit Village. There will be two entertainers offering plenty of fun for children. You can try and win gifts such as new warmers or keyrings. The family terrain park has something for everyone. There are green and blue boardercross to have fun on along with Fun Cross. Fun Cross is made up of big turns, arches, slaloms, bumps, and figures to set spinning.  Loads of fun!

As well as fun in the Inuit Village there is always plenty of offer in Meribel as they work with entertainers offering the like of eagle shows, biathlon introductory sessions, ice sculpting displays, inflatable games and much more.

The return home from Val Thorens is now easier on the legs with the Lac de la Chambre piste being reshaped to offer some blue sections which will be good news for intermediates.  

If you fancy a break during the ski day then there are two new wooden relaxation chalets that enable you to bask in the sun on the terrace of get cosy inside and recharge your phone while keeping an eye on the screen that has updated area ski information. These are found at the Saulire half way point and Pic Bleu. There are also plenty of relaxation spaces for you this year that have been designed with couples, friends and families in mind. The lovely Meribel heart huts look gorgeous!
